Helen Lieros

Lieros and her husband, Derek Huggins founded Gallery Delta in Harare in 1975. She is considered one of Zimbabwe’s finest painters and her outstanding mural work in the Orthodox Church in Maputo, Mozambique is a testament to her enormous talent. She has given back to the art world by her mentorship of young Zimbabwean artists for the past 50 years, including Virginia Chihota, Misheck Masamvu, Richard Mudariki, Cosmas Shiridzinomwa, and others who have continued onwards to be successful artists in their own right. Lieros sadly passed away in early 2021.
